Lisu Lodge will introduce you to several of the diverse ethnic groups of the area an hour's drive north of Chiang Mai, northern Thailand. You can visit with people of the Lisu, Lahu, Hmong, Akha and Karen groups, as well as northern Thai country folk. You will meet them as our friends and colleagues, not as "exhibits" wearing colorful costumes simply for your benefit.

Depending on your choice of tour, you will ride elephants through tropical jungle and oxcarts through field and forest. Your leisurely mountain bike tour will take you through country villages, along tumbling streams and rolling hills. Rubber rafts carry you safely along the scenic Mae Taeng River, through patches of white water and placid calms alike.

The work and tours with the mountain peoples - the so-called hilltribes - of northern Thailand promotes their distinctive and dynamic cultures.
